A computer science engineer with degrees from the Universities of Saarbrücken (Germany), Oxford and Edinburgh (UK), he offers world-class experience of the high tech industries in various countries, cultures, languages and mentalities, from both the vendor and the user sides.
Hans-Josef has more than 15 years of research and development experience in computer science as well as 15 years in marketing and communication. His research is focused on "Business & IT" convergence for translating innovation into user benefits and business competitive advantages.
In 1998 he founded Jeanrond CMC, a consulting firm specializing in marketing & communication advising for the High Tech industry. He is also the cofounder of Bizcat, a Swiss-German firm positioning itself as “catalyst” in large IT vendor ecosystems. From 1992 to 1998, he was the Marketing and Communication Manager of SAP France, direct report to Leo Apotheker. In 1990, he was hired by the Open Software Foundation in Munich as Regional Director. Hans-Josef started his career in 1984 with Nixdorf Computer in Munich as Software Development Engineer, then R&D Manager.
