Jean-Marc RIETSCH - Senior Analyst, Dematerialisation and Electronic Archiving Strategies

Jean-Marc Rietsch is a BIT Group Partner Analyst responsible for dematerialisation, ILM, and electronic archiving strategies.

Jean-Marc has over 20 years of experience in dematerialisation, security and confidence services such as electronic signatures, proof management, and electronic archiving. In 2001 he took part in the launch of CDC Zantaz, the first third party archiving specialist in France.

With a civil engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines in Paris, he is the founder and current president of FEDISA (the European Federation of ILM, Storage and Archiving). Jean-Marc is also an associate professor at the Ecole des Mines in Paris, with which he has set up a BADGE partnership (an aptitude test for major universities) on the topic of "Managing dematerialisation and electronic archiving"). He is a member of the MEDEF work group on e-mail management, the author of Dématérialisation et archivage électronique, mise en œuvre de l’ILM published by Dunod in November 2006, and co-author of L’archivage électronique à l’usage du dirigeant and Protection du patrimoine informationnel both in collaboration with CIGREF (2007).
