Bernard Odier is Analyst and Expert at BIT Group in charge of telecoms sourcing and outsourcing strategies including cost analysis and global benchmarking, and innovation in communication services outsourcing.
Bernard has 30 years of experience in very large telecoms projects in international environments, in outsourcing & multisourcing and assistance in mergers & acquisitions. He was involved in the acquisition of Equant by France Telecom, in the creation of the mobile operator Wind in Italy, and in negotiations for the takeover of Dutch cable operator Eneco.
Before joining BIT Group, Bernard was the Outsourcing Business Development & Marketing Manager for six years at Orange Business Services. Prior to that (1991-2000), he worked for Expertel as Commercial Manager then Telecoms Senior Consultant. From 1988 to 1990, he was Chief Engineer and Europe Sales Manager for the Sema Group’s Advanced Technology Division. He started with Alcatel where for over 13 years he led an international career in Asia (China, India), the Middle East and Western Africa for designing and selling turnkey telecom infrastructure projects.
Bernard has an engineering degree (MS) from ESME-SUDRIA, a post-graduate degree in networking, and a degree in Enterprises Strategic Management from the ESCP Business School in Paris. He contributes to different think tanks and publications such as Medef’s Institut Esprit Services and the European Outsourcing Association.
